Officer Perez is a retired U.S. Marine, a veteran of the Gulf War, with 20 years of military experience concentrating in heavy weapons, armored vehicle tactics and ground operations "intelligence". Officer Perez attended the staff academy as a Staff Non Commission Officer while in the Corps, and was the senior instructor of the Marine Corps Security Force Battalion in Chesapeake, Virginia. He trained over 500 U.S. Marines in Close Quarter Battle and the security of all U.S. |
Embassies. As a Staff Non Commission Officer in the U.S. Marines, Officer Perez was also the Security Advisor of Naval Air Station Corpus Christi, Texas. Officer Perez trained over 300 naval and civilian personnel on security measures and tactics. | |
Officer Perez developed security policies for Naval Air Station Corpus Christi and worked closely with the base Commander as his security advisor. Officer Perez also trained over 400 recruits in marksmanship while stationed at Marine Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina.

Officer Perez has over 10 years of experience with the Osceola County Corrections as a Correctional Officer, currently assigned as the Senior Training Officer for the Osceola County Corrections Department developing lesson plans for the Correctional Academy, Correctional personnel and other County employees as assigned. Officer Perez is state certified firearms instructor and has trained over 200 Correctional Officers. Officer Perez has active State of Florida Certifications in: Curriculum Management System; CMS Vehicle Operations; Specialty Impact Munitions; Chemical Munitions; Distractions Devices Instructor; Basic Life Saving Instructor; and holds two Armorer Certifications in Glock and Remington weapons. |
