Advanced Defensive Tactics Instructor’s Course.

This course will teach the student advanced techniques in falling, handcuffing, team handcuffing, baton, knife defense, and neck restraints. This course is designed to enhance the Defensive Tactics Instructor who was certified in the basic course. This course will also examine each instructor’s striking power. Each student will be measured in a force monitor and charts will be maintained pre and post.

Basic Knife Defense Instructor’s Course.

This course was designed to aid the armed and unarmed law enforcement officer in surviving a spontaneous knife attack. Since the knife culture has become so dangerous for law enforcement officers, Rick Flesch has researched the dynamics of a knife confrontation and through his knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology developed the present system of defense. This course will teach the officer how to use a knife, identify the seven basic lines of attack, how to defend against the seven lines of attack, how to use an ink pen successfully to defend against an attack and how to zone the knife so the officer can successfully draw his/her holstered firearm.

Cell Extraction Instructor’s Course.

This course will identify the various methods that may surface in a correctional institution when an inmate refuses to come out of his or her cell. Methods will be identified to tactically removed the inmate limiting the injury to both the inmate and the officers who are attempting the extraction. The extraction tema will consist of three people who will each have safety equipment on that will protect the officers and the inmate. This course was developed by Rick Flesch and based on his experience while he worked at Union Correctional Institution and Florida State Prison.

Defensive Tactics Instructor's Course.

This course will certify the student to teach the State of Florida's Basic Curriculum upon successful completion. This course was designed by experts in the field of Defensive Tactics and has had a complete legal and medical review conducted by the State of Florida. It should be noted that Rick Flesch, Director of No Nonsense Combat Fighting Systems LLC was a charter member of the task force that developed the State of Florida's program.

Expandable Baton Instructors course.

This course will present research by Rick Flesch on the Expandable baton. Energy studies have been conducted by Rick Flesch that have revealed methods of striking that have increased the officer’s tested pre and post by 50% on an average. Each officer participating in the course will have their reaction time measured from ready stance to the holstered position. A new drawing and striking method from the holster will be presented based on Rick;s research that has decreased officer’s draw time as much as three seconds. All participants will be charted and measured for power of impact both pre and post.

Handcuffing for Private Security.

This course will identify basic handcuffing concepts. Emphasis will be placed on officer safety. Stance and body movement, clock positioning, nomenclature, compliant and non compliant situations will be addressed. This course is based on the State of Florida’s certified law enforcement and corrections basic recruit programs. Successful completion of this course will certify the officer as a carrier.

Handcuffing Instructor’s Course.

This course will identify the tactical methods to apply handcuffs from the standing position, the kneeling position, and the prone position. These methods of application will be applied with both the chain type handcuffs and the hinge type cuffs. Medical implications will be indentified when improper methods are used to handcuff and legal citations identified where the officer and the agencies were liable for improper application. Also identified will be correct maintenance of handcuffs and how to remove handcuffs that will not come off students due to broken keys or poor working order. All cuffing applications will be performed by the officer with both the left and right hand since they will be responsible for teaching students that may have either side as a dominant side. A demonstration on soft cuff application will be given. All students will be given an opportunity to apply soft restraints of various types.

Ink Pen Knife Defense Instructor’s Course.

This system was designed by Rick Flesch to aid the officer when attacked with a knife. Two systems were developed, one for the correctional officers who are basically unarmed and have no form of weapon escalation and one system for the armed police officer who can establish distance from the attacker and use a firearm. Dynamics of a knife attack will be identified and the officer will be trained on defense for the seven lines of attack utilizing a common ink pen as a defense tool.

Pressure Point Instructor’s course.

This course will present the 13 pressure points that have been approved for use by the state of Florida. Research will be presented on each pressure point that has been done, anatomy charts will be examined, physics will be identified as it relates to pressure point application and follow up controls will be examined once the pressure point application has been applied.

Private Security Certification.

Instructors: Rick Flesch

The standards set and established by the State of Florida will be presented and taught. Certification for armed and unarmed security is available. Successful completuion of this course will qualify the student for certification as a security Officer.

Self Defense for Private Security.

This course will teach dynamic concepts necessary for enhanced success during a spontaneous assault. Stance and body movement, striking methods blocking and redirecting methods, and pressure points will be presented. Successful completion of this course will certify the officer in basic self defense methods.
